  • Professor and head of radiology at the Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute (BBCI) here Dr Binoy Kumar Choudhury was awarded the Certificate of Excellence during the International Cancer Imaging Society’s (ICIS) 18th annual teaching course held at Menton, France, on October 7-9.
  • Archer Harvinder Singh notched up the men’s individual recurve gold, while track-and-field athletes added a silver and a bronze to India’s tally in the Asian Para-Games here on Wednesday. Monu Ghangas claimed the silver in the men’s discus throw F11 category, while Mohammed Yasser fetched a bronze in the men’s shot put F46 category.
  • Sikkim’s State Policy on Organic Farming and Sikkim Organic Mission have been shortlisted for an award conferred by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations for the world’s best policies promoting agro-ecological approaches.
