The alleged involvement of a senior minister in the Sarbananda Sonowal Cabinet in shady deals has startled the national BJP leadership with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reportedly handing over further investigation of the case to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).According to highly placed sources, the news item carried by a television news channel has led the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) to ask the ED to probe the authenticity of the documents recovered and file a preliminary report within three days.
