1. The first 'ladies special' train in the World started between Churchgate and Borivali on the western Railway completes 26 years . It is a suburban railway service only for the female passengers in Mumbai 

2. The State Zoo has organised an animal exchange programme with Dimapur Zoo ( Nagaland). The State Zoo is sending a male capped langur and getting a female capped langur from Dimapur Zoo . The Assam State Zoo has only male capped langurs and no female capped langurs.

3.Assam bagged the first prize in category 1( Northeastern States and hilly Region)for successfully running the Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen  Kaushalaya Yojana ( DDU GKY).

4. The  Armed Forces and special Powers Act ( AFSPA ) has been completely removed from Meghalaya and partly Arunachal Pradesh but it is in force in Nagaland , Assam and three districts in Arunachal Pradesh
