Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Radha Mohan Singh has nominated Dr Kamala Kanta Saharia of the College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, to the General Body as well as Governing Body of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Government of India for a period of three years from February 8, 2018. It will be his second term in the ICAR as GB member.

  5. The figures were shared by Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma while releasing the results of the third and final phase of Gunoutsav, which reflected a quantum jump in terms of performance compared to the first two phases.

Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan today said that various measures have been undertaken by the government to streamline the National Food Security Act (NFSA) in Assam and the other North Eastern states, including augmentation of storage capacity, digitization of records and elimination of bogus beneficiaries.
